Faith, Food, and Fight: My Natural Approach to Beating Cancer
By Dre Lane, Founder of Dre Strong Foundation (Dre’s Natural Remedies)
When I was diagnosed with cancer, I knew immediately this wasn’t just a physical battle—it was a spiritual one. As the founder of the Dre Strong Foundation, I’ve made it my mission to share not just my testimony, but a roadmap for others who are walking a similar path. The truth is, healing isn’t just about one magic pill or quick fix—it’s about transformation on every level: mind, body, and spirit.
1. Prayer: The Foundation of Healing
Before anything else, let me be clear: none of this works without God. Prayer is not optional—it’s essential. Prayer gives us clarity when the diagnosis is confusing. It gives us peace when fear tries to take over. It gives us strength when our body feels weak. God’s grace is what carries us through, and I encourage anyone going through cancer to lean into their faith more than ever. This is a spiritual journey just as much as a physical one.
2. Change Your Diet, Change Your Life
Your body can’t heal if you keep feeding it poison. The first step in my healing process was removing harmful foods that feed cancer. That means:
- No sugar
- No processed foods or meats
- No fast food
- No fried food
- No red or undercooked meats
- No alcohol or sugary drinks
- No high-carb foods
In place of that, fill your plate with healing, whole foods:
- Berries: Strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, raspberries
- Greens: Spinach, collard greens, broccoli
- Healthy fats: Avocados, olive oil, nuts, seeds, wild-caught salmon
- Clean proteins: Lean poultry, fish, eggs, beans, legumes
Your food can either fuel disease or fight it—choose wisely.
3. Ivermectin 1.87% Paste (Twice Daily)
This was a critical part of my regimen. While controversial in some circles, I personally experienced results with Ivermectin. I took it twice a day in paste form (1.87%) and believe it played a powerful role in fighting off the cancer cells. Always do your own research and consult with your trusted health professionals.
4. Soursop Tea (Three Times a Day)
Nature has powerful healing tools. Soursop tea became a daily part of my routine—three times a day, every day. This fruit is known in many cultures for its anti-cancer properties, and I consider it a key weapon in my healing arsenal.
5. Supplements: Building the Immune System Back Up
Your body needs help to rebuild and strengthen. Here’s what I took consistently:
- High-dose Vitamin C
- Vitamin B Complex
- Vitamin D3 + K2
- Magnesium
- Zinc
- Blackseed Oil
- CurcuPro (Curcumin/Turmeric Blend)
- Green Tea Pro Extract
- Turkey Tail Mushroom
- Milk Thistle
- Sea Moss
These are not optional—they are fuel for your immune system and protect your organs while your body fights.
6. Exercise (3–5 Times a Week)
Even on days when I didn’t feel like it, I moved my body. Light workouts, walking, stretching—whatever I could manage. Exercise helps detox the body, boosts circulation, and most importantly, sends a message to your body: “We’re still fighting.”
7. Juicing: Liquid Life
Juicing fresh fruits and vegetables is an easy way to flood the body with enzymes, vitamins, and minerals. I made juicing a daily habit. Think: beets, carrots, ginger, turmeric, green apples, kale, cucumber, lemon. It’s liquid life in a glass.
8. Check Your Hormone Levels
Hormones play a big role in how certain cancers develop and grow—especially breast, prostate, ovarian, and endometrial cancers. While hormone testing isn’t a primary method for detecting cancer, it’s still an important piece of the puzzle when it comes to prevention, treatment, and understanding your overall risk.
Here’s what you need to know:
Hormone Receptor Testing (Tissue Biopsies)
For certain cancers like breast and prostate, doctors test the tumor tissue (not just your blood) to see if the cancer cells are “hormone receptor-positive.” That means the cancer is being fueled by hormones like estrogen, progesterone, or testosterone. If that’s the case, hormone-blocking treatments can be very effective.
Example: In breast cancer, doctors check for estrogen (ER) and progesterone (PR) receptors to help guide the right treatment plan.
Blood Tests for Hormones
While not used to directly detect cancer, hormone blood tests can be useful in a few ways:
- Diagnosing related issues that may raise your cancer risk (like high estrogen or testosterone imbalances)
- Monitoring treatment for people undergoing hormone therapy
- Assessing cancer risk in people with a family history or symptoms of hormone imbalance
Examples include:
- PSA (Prostate-Specific Antigen) for prostate issues
- CA-125 as a marker for ovarian cancer risk
- Estrogen level checks in women with breast cancer concerns
Why It Matters
Some cancers are hormone-sensitive—meaning hormones can either fuel their growth or slow them down. When hormone levels are out of balance, the risk for developing cancer can go up. That’s why it’s wise to monitor them, especially if you have a strong family history or other risk factors.
In Summary:
Hormone testing isn’t about fear—it’s about awareness. Understanding your body and how hormones may affect cancer development or treatment gives you one more way to stay ahead of the disease. Don’t hesitate to speak with your doctor about checking your hormone levels as part of your prevention or treatment journey.
